makes you explore the greatness of the mighty park. The National park is 370km with an altitude of 1220m – 1,828m above sea level. It’s situated accessibly close to the highway that connects Kampala city to the national parks of western Uganda. This is the smallest savannah National park and triggered by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which epoch back more than 500 million years. Its home to over 350 bird species, zebras, eland, impalas, buffaloes, oribis, Defassa waterbuck, hippos, leopards, hyenas, reedbuck and the topis.
The park has got 13 lakes and forms a 50km long wetland system that is linked by a swamp. The five lakes lie in the park borders. The national park is covered with woodland since there are no elephants to tame the vegetation. The western part of the park is covered with savannah scattered with rocky ridges and forested gorges while the blotches of papyrus swamp and narrow bands of lush riparian woodland.
You are to have a game drive in the park to see many animal species as well as a boat cruise on the lake to view many water animals like the birds, hippos as well as buffaloes. The savannah lake has two primate species including; the vervet monkey and the Olive monkeys. The hyenas are mostly seen during the night as well as the side stripped jackal and the leopards.

-Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and depart back to Kampala city.
You are picked from the Hotel in Kampala or from any destination of your choice by your driver guide after having your breakfast. You are transferred to Lake Mburo national park, the smallest national park in Uganda. Upon you arrival, check in to the park and proceed for a game drive of about 2 to 3 hours, you are to see zebras, buffaloes, leopards, antelopes, Ugandan kobs, and many bird species.
You have lunch at the lodge with in the park as you prepare for an afternoon boat cruise on the lake, where you are to see many water species like the hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and many water birds including; the African watt led lapwing, Abyssinian ground hornbill, the greater painted snipe, Black bellied bustard as well as the saddle billed stork.
After the boat cruise, you proceed with your drive to Kampala, this is a great drive with a stopover at the equator, and you have a chance to take some photos and a polar water experiments. The second stop will be at the local place where the drum are made famously known as Mpambiire Village, after the stop, proceed with your journey arriving late afternoon in Kampala.
