Kidepo National Park is located in the far remote North Eastern Part of Uganda offering remarkable Wildlife Adventures to all travelers from all over the world. The Park is known as one of Africa’s largest beautiful wildernesses covering an area of 2,750 metres (9,020 ft) with the Kidepo and Narus River Valleys as well as Mount morungole. It is located near Karenga in Kaabong District about 220 kilometers by road North West of Moroto and 520 kilometers by road from Kampala.
Various wildlife animals inhabit the stunning green Savannah Grasslands around the Park and these can be watched during Game Drives around the various tracks in the park. They include; Elephants, Giraffes, kobs, bushbuck, duiker, small antelope, Buffaloes, zebras, Ostrich, stripped hyenas, cheetahs.
Activities to Do at Kidepo National Park
Bird Watching
Kidepo National Park is a Birders’ Paradise due to the unique bird watching Adventures it offers to all kinds of travelers from all over the world. Various species of birds inhabit the beautiful Savannah Grasslands as well as the trees around the park. The Bird species travelers can spot here include; Abyssinian Roller, Purple Heron, Abyssinian Ground Hornbill and Clapperton’s Francolin.

Hiking and Nature Walks
Hiking and Nature Walks at Kidepo National Park transfer to the Lomej Mountains, through the Narus Valley and Kidepo Valleys. The Hike to the Lomej Mountains takes about 4 hours to finish starting at 7:00 am. Other hikes take about 2 hours to complete. Along the hikes, you will visit to learn more about the Ik people Tribe.
