Detailed Itinerary of the 9 Days (Budget) Uganda Wildlife, Chimps & Gorillas Safari
Day 1: Arrival & City Tour to Hotel
On arriving at the Entebbe International Airport, you are picked up by a driver guide who transfers you on a City Tour around Kampala visiting the different attractions. You visit the Bahai temple, Namugongo Uganda Martyrs Shrine, King’s Palace Bulange Mengo, then after you proceed to check-in hotel for Dinner and Overnight. Cassia Lodge Buziga.
Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, meet our guide and then embark our safari jeep and thereafter transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with en-route stop at the Uganda equator for photographs and snack. Lunch at Agip motel or Regency Hotel and thereafter transfer to the park and upon your arrival take en-route game drive looking for the African wildlife species like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, water and bush bucks, leopards among others. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge.
Day 3: Game Drive & Boat Cruise at Kazinga Channel
Dawn game drive looking for the early riser and other wildlife species like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, water and bush buck, antelopes, Uganda Kob, Topi among others. These experiences takes 3-4 hours and after return to your lodge for breakfast, lunch and after take an afternoon boat ride along the Kazinga channel which connects the Ramsar Lake George to Lake Edward and on this cruise expect to spot wildlife and birds on the shores of the banks of River Nile. Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Have early morning breakfast then transfer to Kibale Forest National Park a journey that takes you 7 to 8 hours. Enjoy lunch en-route then after you reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking at Kibale Forest National Park
Early morning breakfast at 6:30 am and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing on conduct around the Chimpanzees. Then later you are allocated in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide who leads to the Kanyanchu Visitor’s Center where you leave from to enter the green forest to track the Chimpanzees for 2-4 hours.
Following different tails in the forest, you later meet the Chimpanzees as they wander around the green forest as they eat fruit, vegetables, plant and take many photos to keep of them. After tracking the Chimpanzees, you transfer back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Kibale Forest Camp.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Early morning Breakfast then transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park. Lunch is en-route as well as views of the green terrain then later you reach the park and check-in lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking at Bwindi Forest National Park
Early morning breakfast at 6:30 am then transfer to the park headquarters for short briefing on code of conduct around the Gorillas. Then you are allocated in groups of 8 with a park ranger guide who leads you into the green forest to trek the rare Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours.
After a while trekking in the forest vegetation habitat you shall meet the Mountain Gorillas and in an hour you take many photos to keep with you. After Gorilla Trekking, return to lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Buhoma Lodge.
Day 8: Guided Nature Walk (Community Visit)
Wake up early in the morning have breakfast then transfer on a guided nature walk with a skilled park ranger guide to the nearby Batwa Communities. On reaching here, you get welcomed by these local people then get engaged in some of their local traditions, customs then after in the afternoon, go shopping then after to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Day 9: Departure to Kampala/ Entebbe Airport
Have breakfast in the morning then with your luggage embark on departure to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport o board flight back home.
